Meditation is not synonymous with Mindfulness, rather, it can be utilized to increase mindfulness.

Self-regulation practices, like yoga and tai chi, as well as incorporating Mindfulness into therapy can foster overall improved well-being. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can incorporate Mindfulness homework and exercises during treatment. According to the APA, Mindfulness practice can help reduce rumination, reduce emotional reactivity, alleviate stress, improve focus, and decrease depression and anxiety symptoms.
